Thornaby Academy is a caring, vibrant and inclusive academy, filled with students who are conscientious, polite, ambitious and enthusiastic. I am honoured to be the Acting Principal of Thornaby Academy, which is a wonderful place to learn as our praise culture means that students are PROUD to work hard and take great pride in their academic achievements. Their sense of pride is also evident in their exemplary standards of uniform and their well-mannered conduct both inside and outside of lessons, which creates a calm and welcoming environment for students to thrive.

In collaboration with other NET schools, we have access to a wide range of opportunities for us to develop, strengthen and enrich our provision both in and beyond the classroom. In doing so, we are fully committed to ensuring our young people achieve the outcomes they deserve and develop the skills they need to lead happy and fulfilling lives in an ever changing world.
