Northern Education Trust Thornaby Academy celebrates GCSE results
Students at Northern Education Trust Thornaby Academy , one of 17 secondary academies sponsored by the trust, have achieved their best ever GCSE results, in particular related to the number of students achieving a grade 5 or above in both English and maths: 46% which is an increase of 9 percentage points on last year’s results.
The academy is immensely proud of what the students have achieved and the increase in overall grades. The Principal, Dr Brownless, said: “these results reflect the unwavering commitment of our staff and the dedication of our students. We are thrilled with their achievements and wish our students the very best as they begin the next stage of their educational journey.”
The Executive Principal, Gemma Knox, said:” we are delighted with the students’ results, which are so important for their life chances and we would like to thank all of the staff and parents and carers for their continued support.”
